About Me

          My name is Dean Santarinala. I was born and raised in the Chicago suburb of Lincolnwood, Illinois and have lived there most my life. Now, I am in my early 20’s and a fourth-year student at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, trying to work my way towards a degree in Electrical Engineering. Watching movies, surfing the Internet and reading books are my main modes of entertainment. I made this website as a way to collect and share my thoughts, amongst other random things. Most recently I’ve been using it as a vessel for showing off my personal and work-related photos.

          I have been taking photos professionally for almost two years at the time of writing this (January 2009). I started with a Canon Rebel XT and Elan 7N and a few low cost lenses, however I very recently upgraded to a Canon 1D mark III and some fast glass. I really do hope you enjoy viewing my images. Sharing is a huge part of photography for me, I enjoy the feedback and I learn from it. Without it, this would be a very lonely hobby.
